Crafts Group 2

The aim of the group is to meet to increase our enjoyment, knowledge and skills of crafts together. This group meets in a home so is limited to 10 members. At present we have 8 members and two spaces: do get in touch if you might like to join us.

We usually meet in the morning of the 4th Monday in the month, 10am - 12 noon (not Aug or Dec). We meet in the Boston Manor area. We’ll have an outing or two a year, our first one (the group started Sept 2016) was to the Sunbury Embroidery Gallery.

We discuss and encourage each other in individual projects and have a joint project. One joint project was to make some twiddlemitts for people in Ealing who are in the later stages of dementia. We used this to learn/improve our knitting and then our crochet skills.

Group members will share leading activities and topics will be adjusted depending on members’ interests.
Crafts done so far have included: lavender wands, felt brooches, seasonal ones, knitting, crochet, hammered flowers and Suffolk Puffs.
Our October meeting focuses on making things for Christmas/festivals.
