=================================================
World Religions meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 1 to 3 p.m. in Central Ealing, W5 (car parking available).
Our members come at present from four different major religions, some being active in their faiths, others nominal or lapsed. We do not set a subject timetable far in advance rather we tend to choose our next topic in the preceding month's meeting.
Often one group member volunteers to give a presentation on the chosen subject.
Recent topics have included: Voodoo, Martin Luther and Antisemitism, the State of Israel since 1947, the History of Religion in Ireland, Faith Schools, Mission Schools, Trinity, Secularism, Spirituality, China and Japan, Sikhism, Quakers, Islam and Democracy, Male Headship, Contradictions in the Bible, Christian Denominations, Judaism, Religious Persecution, Conversion Therapy and LGBT, Usury and Banking, Numerology - Kaballah, Religious Customs in faith-Naming Ceremonies, Religion in Ethiopia, Marriage Customs, Death Customs, Belief in an Afterlife, A Just War, The Sanctity of Life in the Beginning, the Sanctity of Life at the End, Who/What is God ?, Lent.
