World Religions meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 1 to 3 p.m. at 8 The Firs, W5. It is on E2 bus route and there is parking. Our members come at present from four different major religions ,some being active in their faiths, others nominal or lapsed. We do not set a subject timetable far in advance rather we tend to choose our next topic in the preceding month's meeting. Recent topics have included, Voodoo, Martin Luther and Antisemitism, the State of Israel since 1947, the History of Religion in Ireland, Faith Schools, Mission Schools,Trinity, Secularism, Spirituality, China and Japan, Sikhism, Quakers, Islam and democracy. Often one group member volunteers to give a presentation on the chosen subject.
Those interested in attending should contact Graham Weeks, phone 02085755694, 07804226963 or by email through the blue bird (top)
