Mah Jong

Mah Jong group

This group gives people the opportunity to try something new during the current pandemic.

A weekly game of Mah Jong is played over Zoom, using the Chinese rules. This ancient Chinese game, (dating from the Qing Dynasty) is played with 144 tiles and has spread widely across the world. Beginners are welcome as are those who have played before and want a ‘refresher’.

No experience is needed, but you will need the following:
a) Computer access to Zoom (link provided by Ealing U3A)
b) Your own Mah Jong set (Alison can advise)
c) A table near the computer where you can set out your own Mah Jong tiles

This has turned out to be an enjoyable – and stimulating - way of “meeting up” during the present lockdown. If you are interested in joining, please contact:
Convenor: Alison Browne, contact by email using the bluebird link (above right)
