SOCIAL DISTANCING
Here is the next in our series of photos to remind us of better times. This picture is taken by Patricia Handley who says it’s one of her favourite pieces of public art and is situated by the Thames in Bermondsey. It’s called ‘Doctor Salter’s Daydream’ and shows Alfred Salter, who was a medical man and Labour politician, imagining his wife Ada, his daughter Joyce (who died at the age of 8) and her cat in happier times long gone by. Perhaps our Walking or London Revisited might visit this when we are able to venture out again.
