Events

Our general meetings are usually held once a month at Dunston Hill Methodist Church (corner of Ellison Road and Shrewsbury Road) on the first Wednesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. At the meetings we have a speaker followed by an update on activities and a chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Please note that although we seem to be "over the hump" regarding Covid 19, mainly due to the wide ranging vaccination programme, we still need to be mindful of the fact that some may still feel uncomfortable in an enclosed environment with proximity to others.

The Committee have agreed that for the current financial year (2023/2024), and as activities have returned to normal, the annual subscription will be £15.00 due at the Annual General Meeting held in April. Those wishing to subscribe to the u3a magazine Third Age Matters (TAM) are required to add £4.00 to the annual subscription. There will also be an entry fee of £2 at the door that included a strip of raffle tickets, proceeds going to the general funds to cover the rent of the hall and speakers’ fees. With Covid19 still present in our minds we would ask that those cash payments be made by tendering the exact amount wherever possible so as to minimise cash handling.
