Painting for Pleasure
Aims and Objectives of the group:
To promote a basic interest in painting.
To enable each person to express their own interpretation when painting or drawing.
To learn from the occasional demonstrations of various media and techniques.
Any expertise needed:
As tuition is not given members are expected to have some painting and drawing ability.
Equipment needed (rough costs if any):
Members bring their own equipment, e.g. paints, brushes, pencils etc.
Maximum number permitted in the group: Up to 18.
Location, day and time of meetings:
Edwards Street United Reformed Church Hall, Wednesdays 10:00am to 12:00noon.
A brief description of a typical meeting:
Members arrive at about 10am, have a brief chat and find a seat at a table of their choice. Generally each member has in mind what they want to do.
At 11am they take a short break for coffee and biscuits and any announcements are made.
Painting then continues until 12noon.
There is always opportunity for discussion if required.
