The Byways and Beyond walking group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month. To encourage car sharing we normally assemble at Brooms Road car park at 9.30. (unless the walk startpoint is clearly more convenient in which case you are asked to let the leader know beforehand). We share petrol costs.
Walks generally range from 4-7miles. Walks are undertaken at your own risk.
Walking boots and waterproofs are necessary and we ask members to carry their own first aid essentials. We also ask members to carry details of emergency contacts and any relevant medical conditions or medication.
We publish, by e-mail, a 6 monthly programme with descriptions of the walks and walk leaders details. You may contact the walk leader if you require further information.
We have a membership of 30, though numbers on a walk are generally somewhere in the teens and, at the moment, we are not taking new members. You can, however, request to go on our waiting list.
