What is Social Dancing?
It is a fun way of gentle exercise doing various types of dancing. For example Scottish old time, Scottish Country, Sequence, Ballroom, and some just for fun.
The Aim of the Group
The aim of the group is to enjoy social dancing, for fun, fitness and friendship through learning the various dances. The technique of steps and the learning of formations are undertaken in an enjoyable light-hearted manner. We aim for fun and exercise and we succeed. It is an open class with a mixed level of dancers and new members are always welcome. We can cater for beginners to more experienced dancers. You do not need to have a partner as we swap partners and the more experienced dancers help the beginners. We have a break for tea/coffee and a chat. It is a friendly class and we learn laugh and enjoy!

We meet on the first Wednesday of the month from 2.00-4.00pm and the third Wednesday of the month from 10.00am until noon from September to March in Locharbriggs Community Centre 103 Auchencrieff Road Locharbriggs DG1 1UZ. The hall is easily accessible and has ample parking. There is also a bus stop right beside the hall.
