Maths for Fun
We have fun talking about and working at mathematical puzzles, and topics around mathematics which interest us.
The puzzle work doesn't require a great mathematical knowledge, more an interest in puzzles. Some of our sessions have been on methods of solving mazes and then testing them in the outdoor maze in Crystal Palace Park. We have had a visit to the Science Museum, a session on bell-ringing with a computer animation, looking at crochet coral reefs, chaos theory, the art of M C Escher and even a session on jokes with a mathematical flavour.
The group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 2pm, on Zoom.
When meeting in person can resume, we will return to the Plough Pub, opposite Dulwich Library.
