The aim of our group is to learn more about how we can become better consumers in terms of minimising our carbon footprints and maximising the benefits to the environment through the choices we make. Food has been our main focus so far, and it will continue to be an important part of our agenda. However, there are many other areas where our choices can make a real difference, and we have therefore expanded our field of investigation to include such topics as textiles and fashion, banking, and finance, energy and cars - and there may be more to come.
In one of our sessions we had a very interesting and inspiring guest speaker, Guy Watson from Riverford. He was talking about his 35 years of experience as an organic farmer and also his thoughts about the future.
