Book club
We meet on the 4th Thursday every month.
We aim to read an eclectic selection of books and occasionally ones that are different to the popular choice and, surprisingly we do enjoy some of them! Successful reading or not we enjoy the ensuing discussion - it is astonishing how our views can vary.
We have enjoyed a wide selection of books this past year, such as Little Stranger by Sarah Waters, The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins, In the Dark by Deborah Moggach, The Five people in Heaven by Mitch Albom and several American and English crime novels written by Peter Robinson, John Harvey and American author Michael Connolly. Variety is the spice of life!!
We still need more members to complete our group. Come and joins us! Nothing too intellectually challenging, excellent company and very good cake. Costs just £1.
