Walking
The Walking Group aims to foster happiness and friendship between members by virtue of a common interest in the healthy and enjoyable pursuit of walking. The Group organises a rolling programme of walks designed to appeal to walkers of all abilities.
Walking group members are asked to pay £1 a year to cover the purchase of first aid kits and walking guides. All walks are classified by grade and pace. For more details on these see Grades and Paces of Walks. All members are expected to read and abide by the Walking Group Guidelines.
The group, in accordance with u3a principles, is inclusive of non-drivers. For insurance reasons, children are not allowed on any walks. We currently do not have dog friendly walks.
The Group is keen to add to its membership and whether you are an experienced walker or simply seeking a leisurely stroll you are assured of a warm welcome. You are invited to participate in three walks totally free of charge before you are required to make a decision whether or not to join our happy throng. So please, why not give it a try? For more information contact the Walking Coordinator.
