Derby

French Conversation (Intermediate)

The French Conversation Group meets at the CURC in Green Lane, Derby, once every three weeks on a Tuesday afternoon. The group is currently full but do get in touch and I will add your name to the waiting list.

The sessions are topic based and we aim to speak in French for the whole session. One member recently gave a talk about Coco Chanel (see photos) and she dressed for the occasion! Group members are encouraged to prepare in advance and contribute to short talks and discussions. We have a lot of fun and we enjoy celebrating Christmas and Easter with French food and drink of course!

This is an outline to the format of the session:
1.00 - 1.15pm Refreshments on arrival, Registration and social time
1.15 - 1.30pm French news items and news from group members
1.30 - 2.00pm Small group session (Topics are agreed in advance of the sessions)
2.00 - 2.15pm Break for cup of tea and biscuits
2.15 - 2.45pm More items, Feedback, Planning for next session, Au Revoir!

Here are some photos of celebrations of our end of year picnic in Elvaston park.
