Wildlife
The aims of the group are to encourage people's interest in all forms of wildlife - particularly birds, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies and plants. Also to help people's identification of the various species we may see on the walks.
Walks will be on the third Thursday of the month. Most walks are mornings only starting at 10am, but there will be an occasional all-day walk.
The walks will be at various reserves and wildlife sites relatively close to Derby and will usually be no longer than 2 -3 miles. Most walks are on relatively easy paths.
It is essential that you have a pair of binoculars and suitable footwear.
