History
Group Organiser: Will Philpott
Venue: Town Council Offices, 3 New Street, Daventry, NN11 4BT
When: 4th Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m (except December)
The group is essentially self-supporting with individual members suggesting topics which they offer to lead on and a programme based on local, national and international history is agreed by the group.
There is no standard format with some members using PowerPoint presentations (a projector is available at the venue but the lead will need to bring a laptop) while others distribute a handout providing an overview and structure for the discussion. Although talks have been lead by individuals, they could be delivered jointly with another member.
Although membership is limited due to seating arrangements, we do have capacity for one new member with priority given to someone willing to lead an occasional talk.
