Meet at: Dartmouth Leisure Centre
When: Wednesdays 10.00 - 11 am
Contact: Yvonne Cottam 01803 835251
If you have rackets/bats (badminton/tennis/table tennis) please bring them otherwise equipment is available at the Leisure Centre. (£3 per session payable to the Leisure Centre)
Start the day with a warm up and then have a go at a sport: badminton, table tennis, short tennis - to name but a few.
We've introduced a new game called 'pickleball' which is sweeping America apparently - nothing but trendsetters here! It's a cross between badminton and tennis - played on a badminton court with badminton rules but with a low net as in tennis. The bats are 'paddles' and the ball is a plastic airflow one. See https://www.usapa.org/what-is-pickleball for details. If you fancy trying it come along and have a go. Thanks to the U3A Committee for supplying new bats.
If you've never played before, coaching is given - and you never know you might really enjoy the extra fitness it gives you.
