Dates for your Diary
July 2022
Mon Jul 4thGardeningKnightshayes, Tiverton. Carole invites us to meet with our friends in Tiverton u3a Gardening Group. Bring a picnic lunch and chair. Meet 12.00 by the walled garden. We can then wander around the flower or walled gardens after lunch if you wish.
Please let me know if you are coming. Lift share from Head Weir Road. mc1619@outlook.com
Thu Jul 14thGardeningQuince Honey Farm, South Molton. Janey invites you to join her on this NGS visit.
Walk and talk with Pip the Head Gardener. Nectar gardens designed specifically for bees, other pollinators and wildlife, largest wildlife garden in the UK open to the public. NGS £5.
Pip writes "the NGS scheme is for the grounds and gardens only, we make no money from this as it goes direct to the NGS charity. The main tours, for which you pay more than double to Quince Honey Farm, include everything on the site including a garden tour. However, these tours are not by the gardeners so are not really garden related.
For larger groups of NGS visitors I have been showing them the live hives and plenty of bees in the attraction buildings. So unless you are desperate to roll a candle or play in the play hive you will not be missing out by just paying the £5. NGS entrance fee." So please let's get a good number for this visit, an excellent chance to visit Quince Honey Farm for less than half price with a full garden tour with Pip the Head Gardener.

Leaving Head Weir Road 10.30 am, or meet by ticket office Quince Honey Farm 11.30 am. Please let me know if coming so I can book Pip. mc1619@outlook.com
