Our monthly meetings take place in the Crowborough Community Centre at 2pm on the third Monday of the month. To contribute towards the room hire there is a cost per meeting of £4.00 or alternatively pay four months in advance at a cost of £10.00.
The structure for the meetings is basically as follows:-
- Members to bring a few of their photos for the group to constructively discuss how to possibly make improvements using new and known techniques.
- Basic camera operation including composition and use of external hardware.
- Use of photography software programmes, such as Photoshop, to process and prepare photos for printing or display. This will also cover the use of layers, masks, etc to compile the final image that you want. There are numerous image adjustment tools in modern software photography programmes which we hope to cover in depth.
- Any other topics which members would like to discuss and expand upon. The group members have a wide range of experiences to share. This group is for all levels of photographer from the beginner to the more experienced.
During the year we hope to include hands on sessions for macro with light tents, an outing in warmer months, portraiture and lighting, such subjects as macro, silhouettes, action shots – sport, panning, shapes, seasons, flowers, street photography, high key, low key.
Subjects are driven by the group and suggestions for subject matter are welcomed.
We normally have a photo exhibition in the café area at the Community Centre during the month of November and encourage our members to display their photos in this exhibition.
