PROPOSED NEW GROUP – Serious Science Fiction.
Do you like serious science fiction? Books? Films?
Discussing the possible futures of humanity? Extrapolating current trends in global science and development?
Perhaps you have, over the years, amassed sci-fi books, DVDs, videos and other ephemera in which you have an abiding but unshared interest? Perhaps a book or film you have enjoyed but cannot track down or recall exactly?
We aim to set up a small group with a shared interest in all forms of science fiction both old and new including steampunk and science fantasy but majoring on ‘hard’ sci-fi. We hope to discuss and exchange our ideas on the genre in an informal manner with like-minded people and perhaps set up a mutual exchange of sci-fi books and films.
