Post Office Museum

The Local History group visited the Post Office Museum on Tuesday January 16th. It was interesting to learn about the origins of the service which in fact dates back to Henry VIII.

The visit also included a short trip on the mail train with a brief background of its inception to the time it stopped running as a link between the various sorting offices.

Below are some pictures of the visit.
