Out & About 4

On a cold February day, Out and About Group 4 enjoyed a fascinating tour of Christ’s Hospital school in Horsham. We were welcomed with coffee and biscuits, and then taken to stand at the entrance to the Dining Hall to watch the whole school parade into lunch across the Quadrangle.

We were then treated to a delicious cream tea in the Dining Hall before concluding our visit with a tour of the school museum. The impressive school band could be heard marching towards us from the far side of the school, then continued to play as the pupils marched in, by house, from the opposite sides of the quad. This tradition continues, weather permitting, every day apart from Sunday.

We had spent a fascinating afternoon in a ‘school like no other’.
