Book Circle Groups
Book reading is another of those subjects that has always been of great interest to our members, as indicated by the fact that we need three Book Circle Groups to accommodate members needs.
As you can see from some of our photographs, we are not limited to just reading books alone, outside visits are not out of the question.
Book Circle 1: Mondays at 2.30pm. Meeting six weekly intervals.
We now have 17 members, one requiring audio. The library obliges when possible and the RNIB also help. We've read a variety of books hopefully opening us up to new authors. A few of us went to "Dark and Stormy", a discussion by a group of crime writers from Brighton about writing crime books. We enjoyed it.
Book Circle 2: Second Monday of the month, 2.00pm to 3.30pm at St Pauls Church, Northgate.
We Order our books from West Sussex libraries so there is no cost involved in the monthly read. Everyone is encouraged to bring their opinions about the books we read to the table. We would welcome some more opinions if anyone is interested.
