Keep Fit

As we get older we are continually being advised to eat well, sleep well and exercise often. Keep Fit sessions are designed to encourage overall fitness, improve flexibility, strength, posture, stamina and balance. Exercising with others in a non-competitive environment releases tension and increases a sense of wellbeing.

These classes suit all levels of fitness. Participants are encouraged to work at a pace or a level that suits them, stopping or modifying the exercises as necessary.

Venue/Cost
The venue is at Sissinghurst Church Hall on the third Monday of each month, 10.00am to 11.00am, cost is approx £1.50 per session to cover the hire of the hall.

Clothing
The best clothing should be loose fitting or stretchy leggings or joggers, tee-shirt and cover-up such as a fleece. Trainers are ideal footwear to minimise impact on joints. A mat or towel for floor exercises is also required as well as optional hand weights.

The Sessions
These are run jointly by Teresa Young and Laureen Rodwell. Laureen started teaching aerobic-type classes in 1983. Teresa is a certified fitness trainer covering all types of aerobic activity.

Content
There is a variety of exercise including floor work and easy routines. All sessions include music. Sessions begin with a warm up and end with a cool down and stretch. The overall message is to have fun.
