Cranbrook

Birdwatching

This is a new Group being set up by Ian Fletcher. It is proposed that the group will meet every three weeks in Spring and Autumn, less in Summer and Winter. It is weather dependent. The idea is to visit bird reserves in Kent and East Sussex.

Visits will probably involve a 4/5 mile walk (the birds don’t come to you!!). So,If you have an interest in birds that is ideal - more important than knowledge. Group members will learn from each other. Participants must have their own binoculars. A small charge will be made to help cover parking and fuel.

Depending on the level of interest, most visits will involve members car sharing. If you think this is for you please contact Ian by clicking the link on this page. He will arrange an initial meeting to discuss the finer details.
