Coventry Sherbourne

25th Jubilee

In November 2018 we celebrated our 25th Anniversary.

Coventry Sherbourne U3A began on the 3rd of November 1993 and the inaugural meeting was held at the United Reform Church in Holyhead Road. This initial venue provides the clue to the inclusion of "Sherbourne" in our name. It came came about because of the proximity of Holyhead Road to Coventry's most significant watercourse, the River Sherbourne. Although we changed our venue several time before making our home in Wyken, we have kept our name.

As part of our celebrations, photographic and poetry competitions were held and members' submissions can be viewed on this page (via the links). The competition winners were announced at the celebratory event, with the poetry prize awarded to Bill Day while Chris Porch won the photography prize.
A great time was had by all who attended.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
