A Note from our Insurers - 20/05/20

All U3A activities should have an appropriate risk assessment / checklist to ensure they are safe for U3A members to participate in. Government input about Covid19 is central to any risk assessment and given the advice remains “stay at home as much as possible” and “limit contact with other people” it follows that face-to-face U3A activity should not be undertaken at present. The government reasons for leaving home remain very limited and do not include for leisure activities such as provided by the U3A.

So little changes for us in U3A

Our interest groups meet in a variety of places in and around Cottingham. Click on a group name below for information.

Contact the group leader if you need more information or wish to join. If you are not already a member of the U3A you can attend a single meeting for a taster session. Again, contact the group leader.

We are always looking to create more groups so if you have any ideas please tell a member of the committee.

The Social Events is now well established and proving popular with a varied program of events lined up for the future. Please click on the link below to check out what is happening.

Other suggestions for groups include Darts, Local History, and Theatre.
Please get in touch with Heather if any of these appeal to you or if you have a suggestion of your own. It would be great if we could get a few more groups up and running in the near future.

Table Tennis at the YPI Sports Centre, Chanterlands Avenue is available every day of the week with a two hour session plus coach costing around £3.00 per person (ideally with a minimum of six people). If anyone is interested,contact Heather on 348765 and she will pass the details on.
