The Music Folk

We are a small group of instrumentalists and singers who enjoy playing and learning together. We perform in public at local venues under the name Scarletts Road and we’ve also performed at u3a events including the Group Showcase at the Headgate Theatre in September 2019. We meet weekly to rehearse and to work on songs chosen by the group members to add to our repertoire. Everyone gets the chance to contribute ideas for the vocal and instrumental arrangements. We have a wide-ranging repertoire, including our own arrangements of established songs (including songs by The Beatles, Neil Young, The Everly Brothers, Chris Rea, George Gershwin and Steeleye Span) and some original material.
