Nearly all of our current members were able to attend the party on 8th June 2022 as part of the celebrations for the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
A fantastic effort was made by so many to ensure that everybody was well fed, well watered and well entertained.
The cakes and cream tees were fantastic with virtually nothing left over.

Well done and many thanks to all those who helped to ensure the event ran so smoothly.
GENERAL MEETINGS
After a lot of effort from our committee members we now have a schedule of speakers arranged for our monthly meetings at Crossways Youth & Community Centre. DT2 8TU.
Visitors are welcome to come along and see what we get up to.

11th May 2022. Talk on the role of the RNLI by retired David Richmond-Coggan.
8th June 2022. Alistair Chisholm ‘The Tolpuddle Martyrs’
[A follow-on Jubilee tea-party may be planned for this date too!]
6th July 2022. David Harrop talking about 'Support for Prostrate Cancer'
10th August 2022. Lunch date to be arranged.
14th September 2022. A talk about the Archive Museum in Dorchester and what they do.
12th October 2022. Dukes Auction Rooms talking about Antiques. TBC
9th November 2022. Vicar of St Aldhem's Church Crossways to talk about her journey into the ministry.
14th December 2022. Xmas party, all details to be confirmed at a later date.
In addition; The Watercress Company have invited the group to their premises near Crossways for a tour and explanation of what they do during the summer months. Dates to be confirmed.
A very varied and interesting programme for this year.
This is all in addition to the many varied group activities organised by this local u3a.
DON'T FORGET THE JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS PLANNED FOR THE AFTERNOON OF WEDNESDAY 8th JUNE 2022 THAT ALSO INCLUDES THIS YEARS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. A VERY IMPORTANT EVENT FOR ALL MEMEBERS TO ATTEND.
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Our monthly meeting takes place in Crossways Youth and Community Centre on the second Wednesday of the month from 10:00am to 12:30pm. After notices and announcements, we have an interesting speaker each month.
We also run trips and outings for the full membership. Past outings have included plays, musicals and interactive events. Some proposed events for the rest of this year are a Spa day in July, Summer Skittles evening at the Frampton Arms, Moreton in August and a coach outing to Southampton in the Autumn. Look out for the Trips and Outings board at monthly meetings and sign up as soon as possible so the co-ordinator can confirm and book provisional dates.
The Calendar tab will indicate when it is intended for Interest Groups to meet and when Monthly Meetings will be held.
