Art House Films
The Art House Film Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 1.30 – 3.30 p.m. at the Ugley Village Hall, Ugley.
We watch films at home and then one member of the group gives a brief presentation on the month’s film, which is then discussed by the group. Sometimes a complete film is watched at the meeting. We are interested in the history of cinema and have watched together “The Story of Film” by Mark Cousins, the film historian. We tend to focus on world cinema, which gives an insight into the culture and customs of other countries.
We have a small library of DVDs, which members of the group can borrow.
