Family and Social History
We meet to discuss our own family history research and share our experience with sources and systems (both traditional and digital) highlighting any new sources and any items of general interest that we have discovered about our ancestors. In addition, we have a special topic each month, such as specific occupations, emigration, wills, fashions, education, travel and workhouses.
Generally, we meet monthly (except for August and December) in the Library, usually on a Monday afternoon (2 to 4 pm). We currently have 14 registered members and meetings are usually attended by about 12 members. We would welcome anyone else interested in joining us. Come along to a meeting to see what we have to offer or what you have to offer the group - or send a message to Peter.
