Beer Wine and Bus Pass
|Time||3pm to 5pm, or as agreed|
Group Leader Chris Livesey
Dear Bus Passers!!
Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in our first adventure at The Chequers last Friday.
First of all, let me confirm the date of our next outing; November 8th the venue is to be announced. The date has been chosen to avoid any disruptions to the bus timetables resulting from the work going on at the Bridge during October.
The concept is simple:
A small group of 6 – 8 people, or a larger group of all 14 group members, made up of a good mix of men and women who are all U3A Members, shall meet on the 505 bus which operates between Spalding and Kings Lynn. We'll then get off at a pub of our choosing situated somewhere along the 505 bus route. The choice of pub will change each month.
The purpose is to relax in friendly company, put the world to rights, tell a few stories, cry on each other's shoulders, have fun and cement friendships!
After a congenial couple of hours, we'll get back on the bus and head for home. Nobody need drive, non-drivers can drink, and nobody has a discussion with the Police!
The meeting day each month will be chosen by the group and may change subject to members' availability.
Start time 3.00pm until 5.00pm, subject to discussion.
All group members must be at least 18 years old ;)!
There is no group membership fee as such. When we meet we will each put a sum into the kitty, and when it’s gone it’s gone. If there is any change left at the end of the session, this will be carried forward to our next meeting.
Interested? Please complete the Interest Group sign-up form at a monthly General Meeting, and I will be in touch to arrange our next date. Any questions please contact me. Chris Livesey
