German Conversation is a small, friendly group for those who already have a knowledge of spoken German, and who would enjoy practising their skills with others. This is not an appropriate group for complete beginners.
This group is now up and running. We had our first conversation session on Tuesday 18th February in Long Sutton Library. There were only 3 of us but we had a good conversation for over an hour with the use of a dictionary and group member Lotteās help who is probably the most fluent. Other people in the library heard us conversing and showed an interest so there may well be more people wanting to join soon. We will be meeting every alternate Tuesday morning and the next one will be on 3rd March. If anyone is interested in joining they can contact the me, the group leader, Merle Crosse.
It is important to note that this group is for members who have a little knowledge of German as the group is not learning from scratch. They are just brushing up on what they already know.
