Welcome to Ebbw Vale U3A (3A = Third Age)
LEARN, LAUGH, LIVE
The "third age" is that time after the first stage of childhood and the second of employment and parental responsibility. The third age is our time to pursue our own interests.
The U3A Movement is aimed specifically at retired and semi retired people. It presents members the opportunity to enrich their lives with new skills and experiences while enjoying the company of likeminded people.
Different from most other adult education organisations, with U3A the learning is from members sharing their knowledge and talents with other members. Purely for pleasure - not a qualification in sight.
Ebbw Vale U3A strives to maintain the ethos of self learning and enjoyment. This self-help model enables us to create our own opportunities to learn in ways that are best suited to us.
We very much welcome new members. We understand that taking that first step is the most difficult. Please give it a try you can always be sure of a warm welcome.
Come along to a monthly meeting when you can speak direct to other members. Our Monthly Meetings are held 2.00 pm on the first Friday of each month at The Institute Church Street Ebbw Vale NP23 6BE.
