Heybridge

Family History

The Family History Group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month from 10.00 - 12.00 in the Claydon Room at the Plantation Hall Heybridge.

This is an informal group where part of the meeting consists of a general discussion/help session where members’ recent research, problems and specific queries are addressed. Some members of the group have considerable experience of working on their own family trees and would willingly support members who are new to family history. We also have guests who come and give talks on various aspects of researching our ancestors. No matter how experienced you are there is always something new to learn.

Here are some useful websites to help your research

  • Family Search
  • BG Forums
  • Free BMD
  • Essex Society for Family History
  • Genes Reunited
