Out&About-Church Visits
Each month we visit a different church where we are given a tour by an experienced guide (usually the vicar, curate or local historian) focussing on the history and architecture of the building, after which the guide will answer any questions we may have. The visit usually includes refreshments, often provided by the church staff or occasionally at a local café. This gives us an opportunity to discuss the visit and exchange views over a refreshing drink.
There is no limit on the number of members but you do need to let the Group Leader know if you will be attending. There is usually a donation/collection of £3 per person to support church funds.
We take a short break in December and January (due to seasonal activities) and start again in February.
