Pewsey Vale

Membership

Pewsey Vale u3a is a friendly and supportive group with some 400 members and approximately 40 different activity groups ranging from Art, Gardening and Bowls, through to Bird Watching, Photography and Walking groups.

New members are always welcome and encouraged to join in because it is their experience and knowledge that is our most valuable asset.

The current membership fee is £15 (2023/2024) a year and entitles you to join any of our groups and participate in numerous events. Please note that many groups do make a small charge to cover costs of refreshments, hall rental, etc.

Most groups meet once or twice a month and many have outings during the year where shared travel is normally arranged.

If you would like to become a member please click here to contact the Membership Secretary. Alternatively you can download and print an application form. Send it to the Membership Secretary or bring it along to a meeting with your membership fee. There is also our popular Online Application form which only takes a few minutes to complete.

In addition to interest group meetings, all our members can attend regular social meetings which take place at the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey. Details are on the Events page. A guest speaker or entertainment is arranged, followed by complimentary tea and cakes and a good natter. We also have social events such as mystery coach trips, garden parties and coffee mornings.

As well as updates on this web site an excellent Newsletter is published four times a year to keep you informed of local events, outings and groups. This is normally sent by email but a printed copy is available.

Also, as a member of the u3a you will be able to receive the u3a Matters magazine which is published by the Third Age trust 5 times a year. This provides a helpful view of the u3a on both a national and international scale and comes at no extra cost to you.
