Travellers Tales
About the group:-
The travellers tales group is a friendly social group. The aim is to share and enjoy travel experiences with others in an informal environment.
Tales can be from holiday or work travels.
Some presentations are related from memory with the help of photographs projected onto a screen, from albums, brochures or just souvenirs.
We also have outside speakers in addition to our own “home grown” members and tales can be as long or short as you like!
The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:15 for 10.30 in the Village Hall at Easton Royal.
At our July meeting we travelled with Sonny Hamid in Egypt and then enjoyed an excellent summer lunch in the Village Hall at Easton Royal before we all had a break for holidays at home until early September when Rita Edwards told us all about a delightful holiday she and Ray enjoyed a few years ago on the Amalfi coast of Italy. The coastal scenery, blue seas and skies transported us from what on that day was a bit of a dreary English morning to an area many of us have not visited ourselves.
That is the general idea of this particular group – to go to places unknown by many of us, visit the sights and hear anecdotes about the visitor’s holiday (some of which provide much jollity!) and it doesn’t have to cost you a penny!
We have some more visits up and coming for the autumn months including the Greek Islands, and we would be delighted to share these experiences with anyone who might like to come along to see what the Group is all about.
