60s/70s/80s Music and Disco
The idea is for the group:-
- to enjoy, listen and dance together to the popular music of the 60s, 70s and 80s that so many of us grew up with and still enjoy,
- to meet periodically with other like-minded members (with disco style lights but no strobe lighting) and
- to bring along your own drinks and nibbles - there is no access to the kitchen area or cutlery/glasses etc.
For the next meeting the Bouverie Hall is booked from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. on Friday December 1st, with a little bit of Xmas spirit but not too much!
The cost of the meeting is again set at £3.00 per head for the night, payable at the door, to cover rental of the hall and a few other incidental costs.
This is a u3a Members Only event. So, you must register with the Group Leaders in advance if you’d like to come (and then please let us know if you can’t make it in case we have a waiting list).
To register, please click here to message the 60s 70s 80s Disco Group Leader - Martin Cook
The first meeting got some rave reviews and so there’s nothing to lose by signing up now and coming along. If you’re already on the Group list from previous meetings there’s no need to register again.
Dancing (energetic or otherwise) is encouraged but certainly not obligatory.
Enjoying the sounds and having a fun time is what it’s all about.
