Spanish is a Romance language that originated in the Castile region of Spain and today has hundreds of millions of native-speakers across the world.
Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. It is also used as an official language by the European Union, the Organisation of American States, the Union of South American Nations and by many other international organisations.
This Group’s activities are designed for Spanish learners who have already studied the language for at least one year and have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language. Members will be able to build on their previous knowledge to develop further their language skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening)
