Interest Group leader: Alan Perry
Meeting information: We meet between October and May on the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
Meeting venue: Ickenham
The group watches a range of films and has a discussion about each film. The pattern for this is usually that a complete film is shown at the first meeting and another complete film is shown at the second meeting. At the third meeting the two films are discussed and relevant clips from both films are shown. This pattern is then repeated. Over a period of time the group will view and discuss a range of films – mostly made within the last 10 years, in English and sometimes other languages. The discussion aims to bring out the context in which a film has been made and to identify trends for that film genre.

To help Alan and cover when the group leader is indisposed. This might also require the assistant to help to set out equipment (chairs, projector etc) and present background information on the film.
