Tweeddale

Natural History

We meet fortnightly on Thursdays for half or whole days. We generally meet fortnightly but In winter less frequently, and increasing to weekly during May and June. The group began with birds and plants, but now promotes a general interest in Natural History and environmental issues. We visit areas around Peebles, along the Tweed and Manor Valley. Sometimes we venture further afield e.g. to St Abbs Head, Musselburgh Lagoons, Carrifran Wildwood. We have amateur experts in several areas but all learn from one another.
