Thu Feb 8thOutingsThe Russia Season: Royal Fabergé — exhibitions at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich.

Two exhibitions to mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution.

Radical Russia shows how in a few short years a new approach to art emerged. The exhibition includes pre-revolution works, showing the way in which Russian abstraction included specific Russian themes.

Royal Fabergé explores the extraordinary work of Fabergé, the leading artist-jewellers during the decades preceding the First World War. A highlight is the Sandringham animals, illustrating the naturalistic genius of Fabergé.

Cost is £35.50 each. The coach will leave at 10:00 am from Don's yard, 10 minutes later from the Flitch House. Returning about 6 pm.

Wed Mar 7thOutings'Impressionists in London' exhibition at Tate Britain
In the 1870s, France was devastated by the Franco-Prussian war and insurrection in Paris, driving artists to seek refuge across the Channel. Their experiences in London and the friendships that developed not only influenced their own work but also contributed to the British art scene.

The EY Exhibition Impressionists in London, French Artists in Exile (1870 – 1904) is the first exhibition to map the connections between French and British artists, during a traumatic period in French history. Highlighting their engagement with British culture, traditions and social life, their art is a fascinating insight into how London was perceived by the visiting French artists. This exhibition presents works by Monet, Tissot, Pissarro and also features works from Dalou, Sisley, Derain and Legros.
