Whittlesey & District

Local History

Do you have an interest in the history of Whittlesey and the surrounding area?
The recently formed U3A Local History group meets at Whittlesey Library on the second Friday afternoon of each month at 2pm.
We will either meet in the Buttercross room or in the library itself, the library has local reference sources and has good free wi fi internet access.
Our aim is to agree upon and research a different topic each month, initially the areas of interest are Whittlesey, its surrounding area and the Fens. This could well change over time as the group grows and different areas of interest are discovered or uncovered as we research the monthly topic.
Please join us if you think this subject might interest you. Contact Local History Coordinator Philip Cumberland.
