Out Scrabble Group is now well into it's second year and lively first Tuesday's can now be relied on. We have ten members, but still have room for more, and would like to increase that number to 16.It is good to meet different styles of playing and we have a very wide range of experience and skills from near beginners upwards. The most common introductory words are "I used to play years ago but......", and we find that the ability soon comes back and there is no doubt that playing does lead quickly to an improvement in ability. So whether you are a beginner or an experienced player a regular or an occasional player, do give us a try. There is no commitment, and if it does not suit you, you can just not come again!
Similarly, you might enjoy our meetings if you simply find words fascinating. Scrabble is the leading word game and for those who like words and their derivations and possible alterations, Scrabble is rich with opportunity.
We meet at 10.00am on the first Tuesday of each month at the Friendship Hall, Aylsham. The usual format is that we play either two or three on a board and have two games each in a morning, with an interval for refreshments and catching up on news.
