Organised walks in Devon

We are very lucky to live in the most beautiful part of the country. So to be able to take time to walk and enjoy the Devon countryside is a blessing.

Our walks are designed to let us see the rich variety of countryside available to us. The walks can be 5 or 6 miles in length - rarely more - but we always enjoy ourselves.

We always have room for more walkers, so please read the current newsletter (available on this website) to find out when and where we are next walking - and join us! We meet on the 4th Thursday in the month, normally at 0930hrs in Homebase (Tiverton) car-park, from where we car-share to our starting place. After a 4-5 mile walk, we usually manage to find (or rather our leaders do!) a convivial hostelry for a pleasant lunch. Have a word with the group leaders at the monthly meeting if you need further information.

If you cannot get to our monthly meeting, please use the Contact Form on this website to request further information.

Rambling Group near the River Culm In Spring of 2018 we went for a 5 mile walk around the Culmstock area. This is a photo of the group along side the River Culm before going on for lunch at the Culm Valley Inn.

A damp September walk on Exmoor This is a recent walk on a damp September morning on Exmoor. We called this place the valley of 1000 pheasants, as there were lots of feeders full of grain, and loads of pheasants. Wendy was behind the lens!

January walk near Churchinford Just to counter the idea that we only walk in nice warm summer weather, the photo to the right shows the group walking on a bitterly cold January day in 2017, on our way to the York Inn in Churchinford, where we found a nice cosy pub, complete with log fire, welcoming staff, and excellent warming food.

The Jurassic Coast ----- These photos are from our November 2015 ramble, around Ladram Bay in Devon. The picture to the left is a view of the Jurrassic Coast towards Lyme Regis.
