Art Appreciation

Point of Contact:- Mike and Sue

Monday, Week 1.
St. Maurice Church Hall, Plympton. PL7 1NH.
10.30 - 12.30 p.m.

Art for Art’s sake?

Do you ever look at a painting, a photograph, a sculpture or building, and feel amazed/inspired/puzzled/curious or just plain irritated?

Do you ‘know what you like’ but are open to finding out about art which doesn’t quite grab you?

Do you wonder about the people who created these works, their life and times, the skills and materials they used? Did they change the way those coming up behind them thought, responded and worked?

Do you like going to galleries, exhibitions, museums and historic buildings but wish you knew a little bit more about what you are seeing when you visit?

Then you might like to think about joining our welcoming group, whose members can say yes to most of these questions.

We meet in a relaxed atmosphere to share thoughts, ideas and information about all things Art.

If you think you would be interested in finding out more about our group please contact us either by e-mail at miketozer1@virginmedia.com or 01752 337303, we really look forward to hearing from you.
