Malcolm is running a Spanish Beginners course. The principal coursebook is Pasos 3rd edition. This has now been superseded by a 4th edition, but all Malcolm’s materials are based on the 3rd edition. If you would prefer to buy the later edition – which has introduced videos - you will find it to be largely compatible. Malcolm also uses other materials from various sources. Meetings are held fortnightly at his house in Stoford, on a Thursday morning. There are assignments.

The Spanish Intermediate group meets every Wednesday morning in a room in the Catholic Hall, Westbury. We use a variety of materials to improve our knowledge of Spanish grammar and culture and, most important of all, to loosen our tongues and get our ears attuned to this lovely language. These have included a detective story about murdered melon growers and a video cartoon about an elephant who escapes from the zoo. For a little less excitement, we get down to grammar, and use the Pasos 1 language course book and CDs, plus various Internet exercises. We try to speak as much Spanish as possible and subjects have ranged from eccentric Spanish aristocrats and Gaudi to the delights of Antonio Banderas.
