Spanish
Spanish Intermediate
The Spanish Intermediate group meets every Wednesday morning in a room in the Youth Centre, Tinneys Lane. We use a variety of materials to improve our knowledge of Spanish grammar and culture and, most important of all, to loosen our tongues and get our ears attuned to this lovely language. These have included a detective story about murdered melon growers and a video cartoon about an elephant who escapes from the zoo. For a little less excitement, we get down to grammar, and use the Pasos 1 language course book and CDs, plus various Internet exercises. We try to speak as much Spanish as possible and subjects have ranged from eccentric Spanish aristocrats and Gaudi to the delights of Antonio Banderas.
