April Talk Report
St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice - John Hammond and Carl Chaddick
At the April U3A Beccles meeting we learned about the services of St Elizabeth East Coast Hospice covering the needs of those with life-limiting illness from teens through senior years. Carl talked about the wide variety of services offered charity including hospital beds in Ipswich and Beccles, caregiver support and relief services, day activities and grief support, as well as fundraising initiatives organised by volunteers.
John shared the many benefits he has experienced through volunteering in a large donation and discount retail centre for the hospice, with some interesting stories and funny memories.
Thank you Sarah Emes for this report
