Newcastle Emlyn

Family History

We meet in the Church of Latter Day Saints, Newcastle Emlyn, on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 2.30pm.

Beginners and experienced researchers are welcome.

Anyone just starting out should look at the Church’s website familysearch.org (You do need to register but it is completely free to use and has an enormous amount of family history records.)

We try to have a discussion each month about various aspects of Family History research with everyone encouraged to talk about, bring and share items related to that month’s topic. We also have access to the Family History Centre’s vast resources including the premium genealogy websites, either using the Centre’s own computers or on our own devices, so some time each month is also devoted to looking up records for our own research if we want.

If you have any queries or questions about the group, please contact Margaret Taylor who runs the group.

Current information can be found in the monthly Newsletter.
