Our Groups

We have many active Special Interest Groups for our u3a members. These meet regularly, typically once or twice a month, and often in the group leader's home, in which case the leader decides the maximum number of members - usually ten, or fewer if limited by space.

If the leader doesn't have a suitable space, alternatives include the home of another group member or any freely available convenient space, such as a room in a pub or coffee shop. Some groups meet on Zoom.

For more details, click on the group name below. Don't be put off if a group is full. One option is to contact Yvonne, the Groups Coordinator, to ask her to put you on a waiting list; but here are two further solutions:

• Why not start a new version of the group? You'll see that this has already happened with several of the groups below.

• Why not start a completely new group? Do you have an interest or activity that you'd like to share with others?

• A few groups currently lack a leader. Can you help to keep these groups active by taking on the role?

We would love to hear from anyone wishing to create a new group - many new groups arise because of u3a members' interest. The Committee is always delighted to provide help and advice.
